Job Title : Systems Engineer - Operations

Location : Abu Dhabi
Experience 8+ years

Systems Engineer – Operation
Implementation:
• To prepare system for testing or production.
• To prepare and implement Systems and Application releases as per IT Division standards.
• To prepare virtual infrastructure environment
• Implementing System projects.
• Upgrading of existing systems and software.
• Deployment of Service pack/Patches/firmware.
Support and Administration Activities:
• To Monitor all systems and ensure the availability.
• To monitor systems performance and rectify any system bottlenecks.
• Administration of Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Administration of Application software such Web services
• Administration of Microsoft Cluster
• Administration of Identity management services.
• Administration of collaboration services such as email, e-fax, blackberry etc.
• Attending support calls.
• Administration of Enterprise backup systems.
• Testing of backup restore procedure on regular intervals.
• To provide technical support to resolve queries and recommend preventive measures.
• To participate in the testing of the business continuity process and Disaster Recovery activities to maintain service levels and ensure the continuous operation of the information services.
• To administer the identity management services e-mail, data base devices, user and group domains and e-mail accounts, share permissions and security to ensure that information and facilities can be accessed only by approved personnel. Create e-mail accounts for employees having ensured that correct and proper authorization has been obtained.
• To provide support to other Divisions/departments/section.
• To coordinate with other IT department/sections to ensure the availability of business services.
• Administration of monitoring systems.
• Preventive Maintenance of systems and software.
• Review of systems logs.
Documentation:
• To maintain proper documentation for all the systems related activities, architecture, structures, procedures and changes.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures:
• To develop and maintain procedures and standards for operations personnel.
• To ensure that Clients IT standards, principles, and policies are followed while designing and implementing the application systems.
• To ensure that the Company’s HSE Policy is applied in all aspects of the work.
Training:
• To train and develop the assigned UAE Developees.
MIS and Reports:
• To produce periodical reports to keep line management informed about the system activities.
