To meet requirements for the IAC and FPV Projects, Cochin Shipyard Limited, invites applications for appointment to the following positions of Semi Skilled Tradesmen on Contract Basis.

COCHIN SHIPYARD WALK-IN FOR RECRUITMENT OF SEMI SKILLED TRADESMEN ON CONTRACT BASIS - Walk-in at kochi from 1^st to 7^th of November 2012 

The period of contract will be two years. /

SELECTION OF SEMI SKILLED TRADESMEN ON CONTRACT BASIS

DETAILS: 

Trade, Qualification and Experience are given below:

Rigger

Qualification : Minimum of Pass in IV Std.

Experience: Minimum of three years experience in Rigging of which two years in rigging of heavy duty machine parts, assisting in the erection of machinery/ equipment etc, in a Shipbuilding/ Ship repair yard or Engineering Industry.

Good knowledge of splicing work of wire ropes.

Crane Operator

Qualification : Pass in SSLC, ITI (NTC) in the trade of Electrical or Electronics

and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

Experience: Minimum of three years post qualification experience/ training

in operating Electric Overhead Travel (EOT) Cranes in a Shipyard or Engineering Industry.

Age : Maximum of 30 Years

Qualification : Pass in SSLC, ITI (NTC) in the respective trade and National / Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

Experience : Minimum of three years post qualification experience/ training in a Shipyard or Engineering Industry.

Remuneration : Consolidated pay of Rs. 7500/-pm and compensation for extra hours of work limited to Rs. 2280/- pm.

Method of Selection : Walk in interview

Walk in Venue ,Date and Time 

Walk in interview and practical test will be conducted from 0900 Hrs to 1300 hrs on 01st Nov 2012 to 07th Nov 2012 at Cochin Shipyard Indoor Stadium, Thevara. 

Candidates meeting the requirements will only be shortlisted and they need to attend a practical test on the same day or on a later date as fixed by the Shipyard.

Those fulfilling age, prescribed qualification and experience may attend the walk- in – interview and practical test at Cochin Shipyard Indoor Stadium, Thevara on on 01st Nov 2012 to 07th Nov 2012 between 0900 Hrs to 1300 hrs.

The candidates should bring the following.

a) Filled in Application in the prescribed format given in our Cochin Shipyards websitewww.cochinshipyard.com

b) Two copies of recent passport size photographs.

c) Original Certificates and testimonials, in proof of age/date of birth, educational qualifications, experience etc and attested copies of the certificates.

d) Caste certificate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Non-creamy layer certificate in the case of OBC and Disability Certificate issued by the Medical Board in the case of Persons with Disabilities.

e) Tight fitting cotton working dress and safety shoes for attending the practical test. Only those candidates who have passed SSLC and ITI in the relevant trade and in possession of National Apprenticeship certificate need attend the interview. Applicants without the certificates will not be allowed to attend the interview.
